Specialist structural repair work to Council Properties & Homes

Since the Right to Buy scheme has been in existence many local council tenants have purchased their properties. If they bought their concrete council houses before 1984 they have been able to get them repaired with funds from a Government Grant.

Unfortunately that grant is no longer available and many local Councils do not have funding available for the structural repair work to Council homes and houses.

Landmark renovates and improves Concrete Council Houses

Unrepaired concrete houses are considered defective and as such banks and building societies are not willing to provide mortgages unless the property is repaired to specific standards.

The PRC repair process is dependent on the design of each type of home. Typically the process involves removing the defective concrete (see concrete cancer) and rebuilding the structure with traditional block work and brick. The style of which you are completely free to choose.

All work is carried out to the specifications and designs of leading structural engineers. We employ the services of specialist Engineers to inspect your property before, during and after the Concrete house repair process.

This will ensure that the work done is to the highest standard and that the scheme is the most appropriate for your property.

Once the works are complete the Engineers will issue a certificate confirming that the concrete property has been repaired. This will make the property acceptable to most banks and building societies, something that can signficantly increase the value of your Council home.
